Dear parents,
We are really having so much “FUN!!” at preschool these days! We are watching each child as they bring to us their individual personalities, their individual view of life and yes their little individual quirks. I know that some of you have heard me say this before, but it’s those little individual personalities that make my job seem more like a “play date” with your children than a job. Mrs. Reed and I really are having a wonderful time tailoring our “Learn Thru Play Philosophy” to meet the needs of all your children.

Published April 10, 2012 | This month, our theme will be ”SPRING”! We are hoping the snow will melt soon so that we can start getting into the feel of it! Hopefully we can begin to go outside more often. The days are still cold and usually windy, so please have mittens each day.

Dear parents,
Well, do we believe the calendar, spring is here? We hope that you are able to find some time to step out your front door with your children and go on a “sign’s of spring” walk. Pretty soon the crocuses, daffodils and tulips will be peeking their heads out of the ground in yours or your neighbor’s garden. Over the first few weeks back after the break your children will be working on a “sign’s of spring” bulletin board. If you have a chance to stop into the preschool, please do and check it out. They will be working hard on the art and will display it as they make it. What fun we are going to have changing those winter colors into spring pastels. It really is going to be beautiful!

We can hardly believe March is already upon us. It seems as though the months are just flying by! February was a flash of fun and learning. Doesn’t it just feel as though spring is just around the corner? We look forward to celebrating this new season with your children.
March presents yet another fun filled and busy month in our classroom. We will continue to fill your children’s days with a combination of fun activities, language, educational games and many other events.

Every day I come home and tell my family “I love my job!” I really am enjoying my time with all the children and Families at Edgemont Preschool. We have one little sweetie in the afternoon class who we do not think could possibly stop smiling (even if asked to!). But then, why would we. We have so many new friendships being made, that not a day goes by that I do not hear a family arranging for yet another play date.
This has us thinking how appropriate our next theme is!
